We’re looking for someone to join our client’s QA team and help with testing desktop applications on Linux, with a strong focus on cybersecurity. Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining test automation infrastructure for desktop security agents on various Linux distributions
  • Creating  and managing virtual machine images (Linux) across numerous versions and automating upgrade testing scenarios for systems and software.
  • Implementing and optimizing CI/CD processes – integrating tests with GitLab including  migrating test environments to AWS.
  • Implementing tests for agent interaction with APIs and analyzing responses from control servers.
  • Reporting and optimization – identifying bottlenecks in code, recommending improvements, and monitoring system performance.
  • Collaboration with an international team – coordinating with R&D, QA, and DevOps teams in Poland, Sweden, and Israel.

Requirements

  • Linux automation expertise – proven experience in administration, troubleshooting, and automation of environments based on Linux distributions such as RedHat, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux.
  • Programming in Python and Bash – strong ability to write automation scripts and testing scenarios in  modular and complex codebases including algorithms optimization 
  • Experience in managing automation frameworks and infrastructures – including test environment configuration, integration with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI), and handling virtualization (ESX/VMware)
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms – basic experience with AWS is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to modernize systems and existing solutions
  • Familiarity with domain (cybersecurity or endpoint protection) will be a plus
  • Understanding of DevOps principles – deployment automation and configuration management will be a plus
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills (C1+)
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related will be a big plus
